Your four inputs map to recognised data-quality dimensions: Data quality (accuracy/validity), Coverage (completeness), Recency (timeliness) and Analytical rigour (method + source reliability).

Confidence = 0.30·Data quality + 0.25·Coverage + 0.20·Recency + 0.25·Analytical rigour.

Weakest-link cap: if any single input falls below 40, displayed confidence is capped at 65 — a fragmentary input limits the whole call (DAMA fitness-for-use).

Bands follow Kent’s estimative-probability ranges: under 50 gather more data; 50–79 proceed with monitoring; 80+ a high-confidence call.
